UKWUOMA, Festus Prince Okechukwu was born on 26th November, 1958 at Obibi-Ochasi,Orlu, Imo State, Nigeria.Hebagged B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Ife (now ObafemiAwolowo University, Ile-Ife) in 1982 and 1985 respectively, while his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Chemical Engineering (Project Management Option) was bagged at Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu in 1999. Within the space of 10 years of bagging his PhD, he rose to the enviable rank of professorship by becoming a Professor of Project Management Technology at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri.
Engineer Professor OkechukwuUkwuoma is a thoroughbred professional whose knack for excellence has spurred him to be an integral part of many professional bodies within and outside the shore of Nigeria. He has brought his extensive knowledge in engineering and project management to bear on the way National Centre for Technology Management (NACETEM) build capacity in the area of technical and vocational education. His disruptive and innovative approaches to technical education have been the unique selling proposition of NACETEM in making people to see technical education differently.
Engineer Professor OkechukwuUkwuoma, a widely published academic in national and international journals, is currently the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of NACETEM, an Agency of the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, saddled with the responsibility of providing critical knowledge support in the area of science, technology and innovation management for sustainable development.
