Prof. Hussaini Doko Ibrahim was born to the family of Alhaji Ibrahim Doko on 24th September, 1962 in Doko, Lavuun Local Government Area, Niger State.
He obtained his first degree in 1984 with an outstanding performance. As a result of his performance, he was retained as a Graduate Assistant in the Department, after his one year National Youth Service programme with the Borno State Council of Arts and Culture.
He studied for his Doctorate degree programmeat the Leeds University, United Kingdom which he completed successfully in 1992.
Prof. Ibrahim started his public service career as a Graduate Assistant with ABU in 1985 and rose to the post of Lecturer I. He joined the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) in 1994 as Assistant Chief Scientific Officer. In November 2013, he was appointed Acting Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of RMRDC and was confirmed in April 2014.
Prof. Ibrahim belongs to 23 several professional bodies of which include:

- American Academy of Project Management – Fellow
- Institute of Management Consultants – Fellow
- African Business School– Fellow
- Material Science and Technology Society of Nigeria – Fellow, amongst others.
Prof. Ibrahim has 122 publications which include journals, books and other technical publications and holds 2 patents.
Prof. Ibrahim is happily married with five children.
